- I'm a dog trainer with ten years experience in dog care and training. I own a holistic and environmentally friendly pet supply store which helps to educate the public and support local rescues in the area
Rates:
Training:
Must have a consultation before training begins. After consultation owner gets a written analysis of problems and a plan for training and rehabilitation. All training must include travel costs, no exceptions (Travel has gotten very expensive and I thank everyone’s understanding on this issue.)!
Consultation (2 hours): $150 includes an overview of problems discussed as well as options for further training
Training session (1 hour): $85
Prepaid 4 sessions (must be used within two months): $250
Board and Train:
$100/night (minimum 3 nights plus 1 free training session with owner to be used within 2 weeks)
$500/week (plus 2 free sessions with owner to be used within 1 month)
$1700/month (plus 4 free sessions to be used within 3 months)

Live-in Training: $250 per day plus travel costs
Travel costs: (all mileage based on google maps from my address)
Within 35 miles: free
36-50 miles: $20 per trip
over 50 miles: $0.40 per mile per trip
New Shelter/Rescued dogs (adopted within 1 year of training): 10% off all training except for travel costs

Kat Berger is a member of Humane Society of the United States, American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, International Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Ireland Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, NYC's Mayor's Alliance, Association of Pet Dog Trainers, will be certified by The Council of Pet Dog Trainers and International Association of Animal Behaviorists in November 2008, and Head trainer for Abandoned Angels NYC Cocker Spaniel Rescue, as well as volunteer trainer for several private rescue families in the New York City area.
